Comments GreenFest 85
"I had the chance to see this band in Kitchener, Ontario Canada in 1985 at an outdoor festival called Greenfest. They were new on the scene, but drew a huge crowd and were the main act of the fest. I am 56 at the time of this writing, and enjoy their music now as much as I did 26 years ago. Great stuff if you like to shred for Jesus. Their album Soldiers Under Command and Yellow and Black Attack brought the gospel of Jesus Christ to the rock and metal community, which for too long was Satan's playground. Who better than these metal missionaries to evangelize the dark regions of pop music? They shout the truth of God's love into the ears of each and every listener, no matter what your preference. The annointing is felt in each track, the guitars sing as well as the clean vocal harmonies of Michael Sweet and the boys. " - Larry Gill

"I was there ay Greenfest 85. I am going to see Stryper tonight May 15, 2019 in Etobicoke a the Rockpile.

"My name is Steve Nelson. I attended GreenFest 85. Randy Stonehill played mid afternoon (not the best time slot). Larry Norman didn't play in 85 but DID play in 86 when The New Music did the feature program.

Bob McBride and Skip Propop (Lighthouse) also played in 85. Mid afternoon time slot. As did Mylon LeFevre. In fact, I recall that a lot of the "older" acts got stuck in mid afternoon.

Best night-time slots were for the "new" hot acts like DeGarmo and Key, Kathy Tricolli, etc.
